Today the whole nation remembers Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. A fearless warrior, he sacrificed everything for the sake of his motherland. Between life and nation, Bose would always choose the latter. He is still remembered for his legendary calling: “Give me blood I will give you freedom.” One of India’s greatest ever freedom fighters, Bose was born in Cuttack’s Odia Bazaar January 23, 1897.
ଦେଶ ପାଇଁ ନିଜର ସବୁକିଛି ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଥିଲେ ସେ । ନିଜ ଜୀବନ ଠାରୁ ଦେଶ ବଡ ବୋଲି ସେ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରି ଦେଖାଇଥିଲେ । ଆଉ କହିଥିଲେ ମୋତେ ତୁମେ ‘ରକ୍ତ ଦିଅ ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦେବି‘ । ଭାରତର ଜଣେ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ ଥିଲେ ସୁଭାଷ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ବୋଷ । ଦେଶର ଏହି ବୀର ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ୧୮୯୭ ମସିହା ଜାନୁଆରୀ ୨୩ତାରିଖରେ କଟକର ଓଡ଼ିଆ ବଜାର ଠାରେ ହୋଇଥିଲା ।
