Friday marks the beginning of three-day-long Raja festival. It is also known as Pahili Raja. The entire state – from the rural pockets to the metros – is in a festive mode. Swings, new clothes, traditional cakes, betels and ‘puchi’ competitions are special draws for the maidens on this occasion.
